Welcome. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in downtown Boise, Idaho. I work with adults and teens (15+), many of whom are navigating life changes, relationship challenges, or grief.
My clients often come in experiencing anxiety, burnout, self-blame, or perfectionism. I have a particular interest in supporting those navigating issues surrounding spirituality and religion, and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. As a former educator of nearly 20 years, I especially enjoy working with helping professionals, students, teachers, and creatives.
Healing can happen when you are met with respect and empathy. I draw on NARM,(NeuroAffective Relational Model), a depth-oriented approach that supports lasting change. In session, we’ll tend to the underlying pain that drives symptoms. My background in literature informs how I listen to the tone and deeper themes of what unfolds in session. I provide support while gently orienting you toward emerging dreams, desires, and hopes.
My location in downtown Boise makes walk-and-talk therapy an option for clients who prefer to get outside, and I’m also trained in EMDR.When I’m not at work, you can find me on the trails with my German Shorthaired Pointer, playing the banjo, or making a mess cooking elaborate meals. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University and a Master of Arts in Literature from Middlebury College. I hope to hear from you.
